AGM invite to all supporters of the campaign to
Save Nidd Gorge and the Nidderdale Greenway
Nidd Gorge Community Action are holding their Annual General Meeting at St John’s Church, Bilton Lane, on Tuesday February 20th at 7.30pm and we would like you to come along to show your support for the campaign, give your views and ideas, and get involved.
At the AGM you will find out about the progress of the campaign to stop the proposed Harrogate Inner Relief Road, that would destroy the precious Nidd Gorge conservation and recreational area, flood the communities of North Harrogate with huge extra traffic volumes and do nothing to solve the congestion problems in Harrogate & Knaresborough.
On the evening, we will be: updating you on the progress of NYCC’s Harrogate Relief Road Project; raising awareness of their plans to force the road through ‘the development gap’ between our towns; getting your views and campaign ideas in response to their plans; and setting out our own plans for the campaign in the coming year – following our eventful first year of community action.
This is an opportunity to have your say, volunteer your ideas and energy and show your opposition to this destructive scheme; as we begin this critical second year that will see the end of the road – if we can demonstrate enough collective opposition from the people of Harrogate & Knaresborough.
Refreshments will be served from 7.00
Please come along and help us fill the hall!
Thank you for your continued support.
